1. Who and what

These terms govern your use of Veet, a Windows desktop voice-typing application, and the related website at veet.space. "We" / "us" refers to VL Media, the operator of Veet. "You" refers to the individual or entity using the service.

By installing or using Veet, or by clicking "Start free trial" or any paid plan, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install the software.

2. Your license

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Veet on Windows computers that you personally own or control. You may install it on multiple of your own machines using the same email.

You may not:

The Veet source code, brand, and marks remain our property. Whisper and faster-whisper are open-source projects with their own licenses, included as required.

3. Free trial

The free trial gives you up to 2,000 transcribed words over a period of 7 days from signup, whichever comes first, with no credit card required.

4. Payment and billing

Paid plans (monthly, yearly, lifetime) are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you authorize Stripe to charge the payment method you provide for the advertised price on the advertised cadence (monthly subscriptions renew every month; yearly subscriptions renew every twelve months; lifetime is a single one-time charge).

Prices are in USD unless your Stripe checkout displays otherwise. Applicable taxes are charged by Stripe in jurisdictions where required.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel a subscription at any time from the Stripe customer portal (accessible inside the Veet dashboard under Settings → Plans & Billing → "Manage subscription"). Cancellation stops future charges; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Refund policy: If you contact us at vlad@vlmedia.online within 14 days of your initial paid charge, we will refund it in full, no questions asked. For lifetime purchases, this applies to your first 14 days. For renewals (after the first period), refunds are at our discretion based on usage.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Veet to:

7. Availability

Veet itself runs locally on your machine and continues to work without internet access for up to 14 days between license re-checks. We do not guarantee uptime for the veet.space/api/* endpoints used for activation and the customer portal, but we operate them on a best-effort basis.

8. Updates

We may release updates that add, change, or remove features. Material changes to your paid plan (e.g., feature removal that materially diminishes the service you paid for) will be announced by email, and we will offer a prorated refund if you no longer wish to continue.

9. Termination

You can stop using Veet at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms (including violating the acceptable-use rules or attempting to defeat licensing). We will normally give notice and an opportunity to cure where reasonable.

10. No warranty

Veet is provided "as is". We do not warrant that transcription will be accurate, that the software is free of bugs, or that it will be uninterrupted. Transcription quality depends on Whisper, your microphone, and your environment.

11. Limit of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to your use of Veet is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 50.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities, even if foreseeable.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will first be attempted to be resolved informally by email to vlad@vlmedia.online. Unresolved disputes will be brought before the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email or by a notice on veet.space. Continued use after the change means acceptance. If you don't accept, stop using the service and request a refund per the refund policy above.
